Werdegang
Seit 2022 leitet Linda Cimardi das DFG-geförderte Forschungsprojekt „Schwarze Musik in der Region (ehemaliges) Jugoslawien“ am IMMS. Sie war Alexander-von-Humboldt- Forschungsstipendiatin in der Abteilung Medien (Musikethnologie, Berliner Phonogrammarchiv und Visuelle Anthropologie) des Ethnologischen Museums in Berlin (2018–2021), Gastwissenschaftlerin in Ethnomusikologie an der Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Graz (2017–2018) und assoziierte wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin in der Forschungseinheit der Universität Turin für das PRIN (Projekt von relevantem nationalem Interesse) 2010–11 in Ethnomusikologie. Cimardi promovierte in Musikethnologie an der Universität Bologna (2013). Sie führte Feldforschung in Italien, Uganda, Kroatien, Bosnien und Österreich durch.
